OSA commemorates July 15th every year , as OSA day paying glorious tributes to our Ex Principal , beloved late Prof NDS, the moving spirit behind OSA .
On its 32nd year after formation recently held at SKVC on Life goes thru transitions unstoppable . As a sequential life process , we were destined to part ways , roosting in memories nostalgic .
Occasional homecomings , sojourns at the sprawling SKVC campus , its lush green greeneries is rejuvenating rekindles the campus memories , acquaintances friendships , conflicts , and the TEACHERS , the most enviable who have seen generations pass by this institution .
SkVC to us is a romantic connect , nurtured within . A 75 yr old campus on its strides of excellence , instrumental for an eternal social emotional connect ,is also a solace for many in the evenings of Life , the elderly TEACHERS , Students , non teaching staff .
The ongoing SKVC – OSA’s initiative to Meet & Greet the Teachers , who are 75 , gave us an insight into the life of elderly , especially when the elderly forms the majority in Kerala’s changing social demographics .
” Age is irrevocable , but the spirit undying “.. could be revitalised . The need for a frequent “Keep in Touch” program with SkVC campus ,alumini , families, we trust , would help the skvc community / society beat monotony and Ioneliness .
There is also good news for the sports and Fine Arts enthusiasts . The cricketing promotional activities of NDS Cricket Club , imbibing the sportsman spirit of Late Prof. ND Subramanian is commendable. The annual Cricket Feat in association with KCA , Kerala Cricket Association speaks volumes on the Guru – Shishya bonding of NDS and his disciples .
A rare glimpse of selfless social commitment in promoting Cricket and talented youngsters .The present sports Stadium with elevated ground and facilities is a living testimony of the farsight of late Prof. NDS .Undoubtedly a NDS effect , unflinching mentoring success of a Teacher , who spent a lifetime beyond the four walls of a classroom . Cant’ we call it Teachering success ? reciprocal transfomations of a Guru and his disciples ?
OSA contributed Rs 10,000 to SKVC College Union to support the fine arts activities of the college , being this year’s D zone winners
Well , SKVC – OSA a registered body , has a long term mission in keeping the spirit moving. It is a long cherished dream to have an office facility ,for a more co ordinated , efficient functioning .
The success lies in more participation and more memberships. It is encouraging new members are joining and more alumini forums are coming under the fold of SkVC – OSA from abroad .
